be over 结束了
【讲解】
此语的意义与be done with相近，都表示结束或了结。be over sth.表示人在得病或不好的境遇之后恢复过来，例如:I think I'm over the worst of it now.(我觉得现在自己把最难过的熬出来了。）be over单独使用时，表示"结束"，例如:Is the meeting over?(会结束了吗?）与之相应的词语还有be/get sth. over and done with，表示"已经完结，已经完了"，其中and done可以省略。
【对话】
A：Two years are over and I have to be realistic about myself.
A：两年过去了，得现实一些了。
B: What do you mean?
B：为什么这么说？
A: I don't think I can live up to the goals set two years ago. I always have the hope of being a physicist, but now I should give it up.
A: 我觉得自己达不到两年前定的目标了。我一直想当名物理学家，如今怕是要放弃了。
B: Why? You must have confidence to do something.
B: 为什么？你必须得有信心。
A: You know I'm not doing very well in physics.
A: 你知道的，我物理学得不好。
B: What about computer? You're an expert in the class.
