如果说way是指一段路途的话，那么be well on the way就是指在这段路途上很顺利，有着好的开始。用be well on the way这个句型若用来形容一个人学习的路途，那么就是指他有慧根，悟性高。
spare的意思是省却, 省下,effort是努力，spare no effort就是指不惜血本，不计代价，也就是你下定决心，就算用尽一切资源，也要达成某一个目标。
call it a day 这个词组字面上的意思指就称它做一天。进而引申为到此为止，就这样结束。当你想结束一件不想追究的事，也可以用这个词组。

After several days' job hunting, finally Iam well on the wayof editorial work in and I harbor a dream of becoming a writer. To make my dream come ture，surely I have tospare no effortsto improve my expression. I will notcall it a dayuntil I write down my feelings and ideas of the valuable material for my novel. I am full of energy about writting. So how about you? Do you have something you like to do in your spare time? I suppose acquire some English knowledge is one of them, am I right?
