Pressure seems to be a natural part in our daily life in this competitivesociety. Like it or not there is always pressure of one kind or another. And itseems there is hardly any way to avoid it or get rid of it. Moreover, as thepace of modern life continues to quicken, pressure seems to be on the increaseall the time.

Different people have different ideas about pressure. Some hold thatpressure is something very vicious. If there is too much of it, it will lead tothe decline of one's physical and mental health. So they are always complainingabout it or trying to flee from it. They think, only relaxation, the opposite ofpressure, is what we should desire. On the other hand, others argue thatpressure is not as bad as is often thought. In fact a certain amount of pressureis essential to provide motivation and meaning to our life. It is pressure thatpropels our progress and contributes to our success.

Personally, I'm in favor of the latter idea. I believe that a littlepressure is certainly an important incentive in life. It is only when thepressure gets out of control can it lead to poor performance and bad e it is impossible to avoid pressure, certainly there is no sense trying todo so or complaining about it.

Stress is a state of being upset that happens when we are under our feelings and our bodies get upset.

We can even get emotionally and physically sick if we have too much stressfor too long. Stress can come at us from every direction. For instance, it cancome from fights with other people. It can come when we have too many things todo and too little time to do them. It can also come when we do not have enoughmoney to pay for what we want. Since stress can make us sick, we have to learnhow to deal with it. There are good ways and bad ways to do so. We should dealwith stress in good ways, of course. Good ways to cut down on stress includechanging our lifestyles. For example, we can learn either to get along withpeople or to stay away from them. We can decide what to do now, what to dolater, and what to leave off doing forever.

We can also figure out how to get money or we can cut down on what we should not deal with stress in bad ways because bad ways to cut down onstress just lead to more troubles, for example, skipping out and leaving ourwork undone, blaming our problems on someone else, stealing or cheating.

Aslong as the problem not solved, the pressure is always there. Fourthly, tellothers your pressure and get help from them. Lots of pressure can’t be solved byour own and the rational way is talking the pressure to workmates or friends toget help from them. But the premise to do so is that we don’t intend to putpressure to others but to seek help and support to solve problems.

Of course, there also are some other ways to cope with stress, such asreadjusting goal and expectation, playing games to relax, even shopping oreating. But no matter how, solving the problem that causes stress is the bestway.

Finally, another commonway for women to relieve pressure is to cry. The effect of crying is the similaras the effect of confiding to others. After crying, we would find that we arerelaxed and then we have spirit to fight against difficulties again.

In a word, there are many ways to relieve our pressure. But the mostimportant point is that if we cannot solve the problem at once, we need to calloff our attention from the pressure we are faced with to other things. Only inthis way we would not be entangled with the pressure for a long time.
